Premium Fence farm gates start from $40 for a 0.85m wide galvanised gate. Heavy-duty farm gates start from $85 for a 2.4m wide gate. Wider gates such as the 4.8m heavy-duty option are priced at $155. Hinge kits and ring latch sets are available separately at $25 each.

What size farm gate do I need?

Gate width depends on what needs to pass through. For pedestrian or small animal access, a gate between 0.85m and 1.5m is sufficient. For standard vehicles and quad bikes, choose between 2.4m and 3m. For tractors, trailers, or heavy machinery, a 3.6m to 4.8m wide gate is recommended.

What is the difference between a galvanised and heavy-duty farm gate?

Our galvanised farm gates are 1.13m high and suit standard rural and agricultural use. Heavy-duty farm gates are 1.2m high with thicker steel tube construction, designed for high-traffic entries, large livestock, or properties requiring extra strength and durability.

Do your farm gates come with hinges and latches?

Hinges and latches are sold separately. Premium Fence stocks farm gate hinge kits and ring latch sets, both priced at $25 each, so you can complete your full installation from one supplier.
